KB4340558 Won't Install

So you can't install KB4340558 ?

First you need to view Update History (use the search on the top right of the update history box)

Search for   KB4229727    and Uninstall it
Search for   KB4096417    and Uninstall it

Then REBOOT

Then open the command prompt as an admin and type
(or copy this then click the top left corner of cmd box, select edit then paste)

Dism /Online /NoRestart /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

after that Reboot..

Then try and install just   KB4340558  on its own

Reboot twice after that then check for updates....

COMMON PROBLEMS ?

Error: 14098
The component store has been corrupted.

RUN this at the command prompt

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Still having problems ? (maybe your antivirus)

Add an exclusion for C:\Windows\WinSxS
Also add an exclusion for process dism.exe
 in your antivirus.. just remember to remove the exclusions when your done.

Most illegal cold calling is done on pay & go sims funded by stolen bank card details.. the more that REPORT THEM CALLS   the faster their will be no worth in doing it!!

WHAT ABOUT SPAMMY TEXTS?

that's even easier.. you just FORWARD THE TEXT MESSAGE   to  7726 ,
notice how 7726 spells out the word  SPAM on your keypad...  so its easy to remember!!!
